So many pretty new vintage inspired clothes are about to land in the shop tomorrow! I recently came back from a vintage and modern buying trip to Los Angeles and I'm really, really happy with everything I came home with and what's in the wings...  My aim always for the vintage inspired collection is to curate feminine and romantic clothing that fits into the Adored Vintage aesthetic. The Adored Vintage brick & mortar is coming together bit by bit, day by day. There are still several things I need for the shop before the official opening date (I'm thinking September 30th) so I thought I'd share some of these needs with you.  I was able to acquire a large black and terracotta urn at Monticello Antique Marketplace for outside the shop and this afternoon went to Portland Nursery to get a plant for it. I'm slowly getting our Portland shop/atelier space set up for Adored Vintage. I've always said Portland doesn't need another vintage clothing store... there are quite a few in town already although sadly several of them have closed in the past couple of years. It's finally happening! I am opening up an Adored Vintage women's boutique in Portland, Oregon! Not so long ago I came across a vintage photo for British Vogue from the 1980s and it was a woman wearing a beautiful sage green off shoulder dress with little puff sleeves and a large sash. Then a little while later I found a dress on Pinterest, almost the same dress done by Mara Hoffman I think back in 2016 and I just thought...oh someday, I would love this dress for myself! Unfortunately, I do not have the deep pockets to afford Mara Hoffman, but the essence of that vintage photo and the dress I saw on Pinterest lingered...

We adore feminine and romantic clothing and while there are several time periods in history that play up these looks really well, we have a soft spot for the folky peasant inspired fashions of the 1970s.
