How to Wear an A-Line Skirt
Posted by RODELLEE BAS
I recently came across a thread on a Reddit forum where a woman was asking how to make her wardrobe more feminine as she's more of a jeans and tee kind of girl. I suggested that if she was used to wearing jeans and a top, try replacing some of her jeans with an a-line midi skirt. A-line skirts are very flattering on a woman's figure as it usually highlights your waist and has a gentle silhouette. Fuller skirts can be too voluminous and pencil skirts can hug in the wrong places and mini skirts, well...some are just too short for comfort....

"Nobody said it was easy..." Coldplay's "The Scientist" is playing and *in sing song voice* "I'll take you back to the staaaaart." Ooooo....ooooo....ahhhhhh.....wuuuuuuu OK, I was having a moment because I've been doing that THING again. Where I just really get into my head about stuff. Ahh...so where do I begin. Haha, this blog post title is a little passé, don't you think? Although, not sure if I am using that word correctly in this case. Anyhow, sorry to mislead you, this post isn't a How To do anything at all. Enough time wasting, let's just get into it. I...

I am grateful for the pillow and cozy sheets I will soon lay my head against. For a new chapter to read in a beloved classic. For the few hours my husband and I got to spend together exploring a neighboring city. For the beautiful music I heard this morning and being introduced to new local artists here in Portland. These are what #lifeadored moments are all about. Whether they are small or grand, they are the times in your life when you are present and appreciating your life. What were some of your #lifeadored moments today? Last night my husband and...

This sweet 1950s brown gingham dress just landed in the shop and it's one of the cutest vintage dresses we've seen in awhile! The pin tuck detailing, the peter-pan collar, that lace trim! It checks off on all cuteness points! Vintage clothing can sometimes look a little dated, but when you pair it with the right modern pieces, you can have a look that is entirely your own with a nod to nostalgia. SHOP THE LOOK:

It's another long work day for this solopreneur... nearly 10PM and yep, I'm still at my office! I should just set up a bed in here and stay the night. Anyhow, let's get right to today's behind the scenes/shop news topics! AV Headquarters got moved around AGAIN. I do this pretty often, so this really shouldn't be considered shop news. BUT...I love this layout so much I just walked around taking pictures and moving things .5" to the left or right, stepping back, and going "Hmm..yeah, that looks all right." Topic Number 2. Model Casting!! This is pretty big news! I've...
