French Inspired Weekend Style

Is there anything more quintessentially French than a red striped Breton top? Me thinks not! Well..perhaps a beret, but apparently true French girls don't even wear them. I don't really care if it's slightly frowned upon in France, I love berets and will continue to rock them probably till I'm old1 Anyhow, this casual weekend French inspired outfit is so simple and cute. The trick with getting the right French look with these classic striped tops is to make sure your top isn't too fitted. There has to be an ease and casualness to the fit, more relaxed, but still...

I love farmer's markets, don't you? I would assume you would if you're an AV Girl! It's so much fun seeing all the different stalls and local farms bring in their goods. I love all the flowers, the pastries, and most of all...I LOVE people watching! I never just schlep myself to a farmer's market. It's a treat to go to one and I treat it like a destination place. I usually wear a dress or a pretty blouse and vintage jeans...I always have a straw bag and a net produce bag with me. Image Credits: Image are from Adenorah...

Casual Feminine Weekend Style

Love this look! This is probably going to be filed in my wardrobe brain under "outfits to turn to over and over again when you want to look like you made an effort but you didn't" LOL. What makes this feminine is the cute ribbon in her hair and the classic high waist trousers. What makes it casual? The rolled up sleeves on her heather grey tee. Such a great classic combo and perfect for running around town doing chores (like getting the oil changed in your car or bringing your dog to the groomers) Image source: Pinterest
